Android client for Hermes Agent — chat with your Hermes sessions from a phone or tablet over local Wi-Fi or a private Tailscale network.
Ten fresh Android emulator captures, each using a different colour palette. These show the production-signed RC3 UI retained in 3.0.0, with illustrative demo conversations and files rather than private account data. The live-work example uses a local test gateway, not a model response. See capture details.

v2.0.0 merges the community Remote Gateway edition contributed by @CristianGCiocoi, with review and testing from @AI-Guru and @grunjol. The merge brings a unified Desktop Gateway JSON-RPC transport, per-chat model selection, multi-attachment uploads, durable turn recovery, voice dictation, and a comprehensive test suite. See CHANGELOG.md for the full list and the merge PR thread for the community discussion.
3.1.7 (base build 3020) adds LAN discovery for finding Hermes instances on the local network. The production package, com.hermesagent.hermes_android, and signing identity stay the same. Export an encrypted configuration backup before updating; the matching production-signed APK upgrades 3.1.6 and every earlier 3.1 RC in place. Do not uninstall or clear app data.

Debug builds use the separate com.hermesagent.hermes_android.dev package and Android debug certificate. Older production APKs have lower version codes; downgrading can require uninstalling and restoring a backup.
persisted_turn receipt and fresh history; older gateways can retain both sources. The app checks GitHub Releases on ordinary launches. An answered check limits requests to once every 12 hours; offline attempts may retry on the next launch. The dialog offers a newer build but does not download or install it. Later asks again on the next launch; Skip this version stays quiet until another version appears. Shares and Quick Chat shortcuts are not interrupted. In Settings → About, use Check for updates or disable Check for updates on launch. Backups include these choices, not HTTP response caches.
The local candidate identity is 3.2.0-rc.3+3023, with expected release split
codes 30231 (ARMv7), 30232 (ARM64) and 30233 (x86_64), all above the
published RC.2 maximum 30223. 3.1.7 remains latest published stable;
there is no RC.3 APK or download claim. Published RC.2 ancestry and materials
are preserved; its original preparation notes below are historical, not its
current publication status or RC.3 validation evidence.
OAuth head b281b9de has independent security approval with no blockers and
214 focused tests plus fatal analysis passed. Usage head 1003963 has independent
approval and 4,974 full-suite tests passed. These are component receipts, not a
full-suite pass on this release candidate. Final main ancestry integration,
candidate full-suite, exact-head quality/native/push CI, signing, published-asset
verification and real-account/device acceptance remain release-owner gates.
Feature PRs #243 and #245 are not claimed merged by this local preparation.
See RC.3 scope and remaining gates.
The source identity is 3.2.0-rc.2+3022, with expected release split codes
30221 (ARMv7), 30222 (ARM64) and 30223 (x86_64), each above the RC.1
maximum 30213. Unpublished; candidate validation and signed-build verification
are pending. 3.1.7 remains the latest published stable. No candidate download
is offered here. Draft PR #243
is open and unmerged; this isolated candidate is not a merge into main or a
stable promotion.
This candidate implements one More → Usage section for Nous, OpenRouter,
OpenAI, Claude and DeepSeek. Hermes-recorded activity stays separate from
host-reported account allowance via model.options. OpenAI Codex subscription
allowance is distinct from paid OpenAI API access; Claude OAuth allowance is
not paid Claude API billing. Session/weekly remaining percentages and reset
times appear only where the backend actually reports them; no daily quota is
exposed. Missing values stay unavailable; no token or monetary allowance is
invented. Account pools retain individual accounts rather than an averaged quota.
New quota strings use English fallback in non-English locales.
Feature validation passed independently, including 4,966 full-suite tests and fatal analysis, with no review blockers; native and push CI passed. Those are feature results, not completed candidate gates: the combined candidate's full suite and Linux quality remain pending. Validation uses mocked provider responses, not real-account or real-device acceptance. Exist
